Celebrating Our Summer Work-Based Learning Graduates in Clinton

Goodwill of Mississippi is proud to celebrate the completion of our Summer Work-Based Learning Program at our Clinton location, held in partnership with the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services (MDRS) and the Clinton Public School District. This summer, five outstanding participants completed the program at this location, gaining real-world experience and valuable job readiness skills that will serve them well as they pursue their career paths.

The Work-Based Learning program provides young individuals with the opportunity to engage in hands-on workplace training, develop professional habits, and build confidence in a supportive environment. From teamwork and communication to responsibility and time management, the skills gained are foundational stepping stones for long-term success.

“It’s about more than just a summer job—it’s about equipping our participants with the tools they need to thrive in the workforce,” said Brad Steffani, President & CEO of Goodwill of Mississippi. “We’re so proud of each graduate and grateful to MDRS and the Clinton Public School District for their continued partnership.”

A Growing Impact Across Central Mississippi

This year, we’re excited to share that the Work-Based Learning program has expanded and is now being implemented at multiple Goodwill of Mississippi locations across Central Mississippi. As part of our ongoing commitment to transforming lives through lifelong learning and meaningful work, this growth means more students will benefit from hands-on, real-world experience in a supportive and empowering environment.

Our team members in Clinton shared how impressed they were by the work ethic, attitude, and growth of this year’s participants. Graduation day was filled with pride, encouragement, and a sense of accomplishment that reminds us why programs like these are so important.

Stay Tuned!

We’ll be highlighting more graduates from across Central Mississippi in the coming weeks as additional programs wrap up at other Goodwill locations. Be sure to follow along on our social media pages and here on the blog as we continue celebrating the achievements of these future leaders.
