Learning and Leading: Goodwill of Mississippi Visits Goodwill-Suncoast

Goodwill of Mississippi leaders recently traveled to Florida to visit Goodwill Industries-Suncoast, a fellow Goodwill organization known for its strong retail performance and impactful mission services.

The visit was an incredible opportunity to see best practices in action—from efficient donation and retail operations to innovative workforce programs that help individuals overcome barriers to employment. Our team gained valuable insights into how technology, training, and a strong internal culture can come together to drive both business success and community impact.

We were especially inspired by the Suncoast team’s commitment to customer service, their data-driven approach to operations, and the creative ways they engage their local community. Conversations with their leadership and staff sparked fresh ideas and reinforced our shared belief in the power of Goodwill’s mission.

This visit reminded us that while each Goodwill operates independently, we are part of a larger network working together to transform lives through lifelong learning and meaningful work.
