Goodwill of Mississippi Names Curnis Upkins III as 2026 Board Chair

Goodwill Industries of Mississippi is pleased to announce Curnis Upkins III as Chair of the Board of Directors for 2026, effective January 1, 2026. The formal passing of the gavel will take place during the organization’s Board meeting on January 29, 2026.

Mr. Upkins has served on the Goodwill Industries of Mississippi Board of Directors since 2023 and most recently held the role of Board Secretary in 2025, where he supported board governance and organizational oversight.

“Curnis has been a trusted and effective leader on our Board,” said Brad Steffani, President & CEO of Goodwill Industries of Mississippi. “His engagement and leadership have prepared him well to serve as Board Chair.”

As Chair, Mr. Upkins will partner with the Board and executive leadership to advance Goodwill’s mission of transforming lives through lifelong learning and meaningful work, while supporting programs that create employment and training opportunities across Central Mississippi.
