Goodwill Celebrates Grand Opening of Richland Donation and Career Center

On May 8th, Goodwill Industries of Mississippi celebrated the grand opening of its brand-new Richland Donation and Career Center, marking an exciting milestone in its mission to provide resources, opportunities, and support to individuals and families in Richland, Mississippi.

Located at 190 Marketplace Drive in Richland, the new site features two dedicated entrances — one for donations and one for the Career Center — each designed to serve a vital role in advancing Goodwill’s mission through the power of work.

The Career Center offers a welcoming space where individuals can access free classes and personalized support to help them prepare for meaningful employment. Whether someone is building a résumé, brushing up on interview skills, exploring a new career path, or learning basic digital tools, the Richland Career Center is equipped to help. Offerings will include:

• Résumé writing and interview prep

• Digital skills training

• Job search assistance

• Virtual reality career exploration experiences

Meanwhile, the Donation Center is now open for the community to drop off gently used clothing, household items, and other goods. Donations support Goodwill’s mission-based services and help fund the very programs that prepare Mississippians for the workforce.

The event, held in partnership with the Rankin County Chamber and Pearl Chamber of Commerce, included a ceremonial ribbon cutting, remarks from Goodwill leadership, and guided tours of the new spaces. Attendees were encouraged to bring donations, meet staff, and learn more about the expanded services now available in the Richland area.

With this opening, Goodwill continues to expand its reach and impact — helping Mississippians gain skills, find jobs, and build better lives.
