Celebrating Success: First-Ever Work-Based Learning Graduates at Goodwill of Mississippi!

We are thrilled to announce and celebrate the remarkable achievement of seven outstanding individuals from the Clinton Public School District who have successfully completed the first-ever Work-Based Learning program at Goodwill of Mississippi!

This pioneering program is designed to provide high school students with practical, hands-on experience in a real work environment, equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in their future careers. Over the course of the program, these dedicated students have demonstrated incredible commitment, resilience, and growth, making us immensely proud.

Highlights of the Program:

Skill Development: Participants were immersed in various roles within Goodwill, learning essential job skills and gaining valuable workplace experience.

Mentorship: Each student was paired with a mentor who provided guidance, support, and insight, helping them navigate their work tasks and professional development.

Real-World Experience: From customer service to working in our retail store, these students tackled real-world challenges and contributed to the daily operations of Goodwill of Mississippi, gaining firsthand experience in a supportive environment.

A Bright Future Ahead:

This program is more than just a learning experience; it’s a stepping stone towards a brighter future for these young individuals. By bridging the gap between classroom education and the workforce, we are helping to prepare the next generation of skilled professionals.

Words of Appreciation:

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services (MDRS) and the Clinton Public School District for their invaluable partnership and support in making this program a success.
