On Saturday, March 30th, the spirit of creativity and inclusion was on full display at Jackson Prep, as Goodwill of Mississippi hosted the 37th Annual Goodwill Art Show. With more than 100 talented artists with varying disabilities participating, the event served as both a celebration of artistic expression and a powerful reminder of the value of diverse perspectives.
As in years past, the show highlighted exceptional works in several categories, with winners announced in the Professional, High School, Junior High, and Elementary divisions. These artists not only earned recognition for their creativity—they were also rewarded with prize money that went directly back to the artist or the group they represent.
A heartfelt thank you goes to GIVS (Goodwill Industries Volunteer Services) for hosting this year’s event. Their dedication and hospitality helped create a warm, inclusive atmosphere where every artist felt supported and celebrated.
We also extend our sincere thanks to the Global Leadership Institute at Jackson Prep for their incredible partnership. This group of student leaders coordinated the display and judging of the artwork with professionalism and care, ensuring every piece was thoughtfully presented. In addition, they hosted a staff vs. student basketball game to raise money for the art show’s prize fund—making a real difference in the lives of the artists.
