Building Connections at the Mississippi SHRM Conference

Recently, Goodwill Industries of Mississippi had the privilege of attending the Mississippi SHRM Conference in Biloxi, MS. This annual gathering brings together hundreds of HR professionals from across the state to share ideas, learn from experts, and strengthen the human resources community.

Throughout the event, we were able to meet and talk with so many dedicated professionals who are shaping workplaces across Mississippi. It was energizing to connect with people who are passionate about supporting employees, building stronger organizations, and investing in communities.

One of the opportunities we highlighted in our conversations was the chance to partner with Goodwill of Mississippi by hosting a Donation Drive. A workplace donation drive is a simple, impactful way to:

• Engage employees in giving back to the community.

• Support Goodwill’s mission of transforming lives through lifelong learning and meaningful work.

• Provide high-quality items for resale in Goodwill stores, where every purchase funds programs like job training, work-based learning, and career development.

We’re excited about the interest we received from HR leaders who see the value in combining community service with employee engagement. A donation drive is not just about cleaning out closets — it’s about creating opportunities for people right here in Central Mississippi.
