At Goodwill of Mississippi, leadership development isn’t just a goal — it’s part of our mission to empower people at every level of our organization. Last week, that mission came to life at our Assistant Manager Leadership Forum, held at Goodwill’s Jacksonian Plaza location in Jackson.
Assistant Managers from across our retail network came together for a day of training, collaboration, and inspiration. The forum focused on equipping leaders with the tools they need to motivate their teams, improve communication, and continue creating positive experiences for both employees and customers.
“Our Assistant Managers play a vital role in carrying out Goodwill’s mission every single day,” said Adam Hazel, Vice President of Operations at Goodwill of Mississippi. “This forum gives them the opportunity to connect, share ideas, and strengthen the leadership skills that drive our success.”
Throughout the day, participants engaged in interactive discussions and hands-on activities designed to encourage personal and professional growth. From problem-solving scenarios to leadership best practices, each session reinforced the importance of teamwork, empathy, and leading by example.
Events like the Assistant Manager Leadership Forum ensure that our store leaders continue to grow alongside Goodwill’s mission — transforming lives through lifelong learning and meaningful work.
We’re proud of the commitment, passion, and energy our Assistant Managers bring to their roles each day. Their leadership helps create thriving workplaces that empower individuals and strengthen communities across Mississippi.
