For four decades, Goodwill of Mississippi has celebrated individuals who make our communities stronger through service, leadership and a commitment to helping others. On Thursday, August 20, we proudly continued that tradition with the 40th Annual Goodwill Salute at the Country Club of Jackson.

This milestone event brought together friends, supporters and community leaders to recognize an outstanding group of Mississippians whose contributions reflect the spirit of service at the heart of Goodwill’s mission. This year’s 40th anniversary was especially meaningful as we celebrated not only our 2026 honorees, but also four decades of individuals who have helped strengthen communities across Mississippi.

During the evening, Margo Burnside received special recognition for her dedication to Goodwill Salute and the tremendous work she puts into bringing the event together each year. From coordinating countless details behind the scenes to making sure our honorees and guests have a memorable experience, Margo’s commitment has been instrumental in the continued success of Salute. We were proud to recognize her during this milestone year and thank her for all she does.

We are also incredibly grateful to the members of GIVS and the Goodwill Ambassadors who volunteered their time to help throughout the evening. Their willingness to step in wherever needed helped the night run smoothly and provided the warm welcome and hospitality we want every Salute guest to experience.

As we celebrate 40 years of Goodwill Salute, we are grateful for every honoree, volunteer, supporter and friend who has been part of this event through the years. Goodwill of Mississippi’s mission is transforming lives through lifelong learning and meaningful work, and Salute gives us an opportunity each year to recognize people whose own commitment to service is making Mississippi a better place.
